Description
Pyrethrins and piperonyl butoxide are used together in topical preparations to treat pediculosis (lice) infestations. Elimite may be used to treat head lice, body lice or crab lice.
How To Use
Adults, adolescents and children, apply a sufficient amount to hair and scalp or skin. Allow product ot remain on affected areas for exactly 10 minutes. For gel, mousse, or solution: thoroughly wash affected areas with warm water and soap or regular shampoo. For shampoo: Use a small amount of water ro work shampoo, into the hair and scalp or skin until a lather forms. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean towel. Repeat application once in 7-10 days. Do not apply more than 2 applications within a 24 hour period. Do not apply to the eyelash or eyebrow area, consult a physician if infestation occurs in these areas.
Missed Dose
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage
Keep Elimite in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture. Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
